Alan Katz

His humorous writing for children engages a variety of childhood experiences with parody, rhyme, and song adaptations. Katz has published numerous books for children, including the Silly Dilly Songbook parody series (illustrated by David Catrow), Take Me Out of the Bathtub (2001, illustrated by David Catrow), The Flim-Flam Fairies (2008, illustrated by Michael Slack), and the children’s poetry collections OOPS! (2008) and Poems I Wrote When No One Was Looking (2011).
Nominated for six Emmy awards, Katz has written humor for The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Taz-Mania, Whoopi’s Littleburg, and other television programs and was a producer for The Tony Danza Show. He lives in Weston, Connecticut, with his family.
