Charlie Bondhus's collections of poetry include How the Boy Might See It (2009), a finalist for a Blue Light Press First Book Award, and All the Heat We Could Carry (2013), which won the Main Street Rag Poetry Book Award and the Publishing Triangle's Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry. He earned his MFA from Goddard College and PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His chapbooks include What We Have Learned to Love (2009), winner of the Brickhouse Books Stonewall Award, and Monsters and Victims (2010).

In his work, Bondhus frequently explores the intersections of queer masculinity and war. He teaches at Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey and is the poetry editor at The Good Men Project.
