Nate Klug was born in Minnesota, grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and earned a BA in English at the University of Chicago and a Masters from Yale Divinity School. He is the author of Hosts and Guests (2020); Anyone (2015); and Rude Woods (2013), a book-length adaptation of Virgil’s Eclogues. In 2010 he was awarded a Ruth Lilly Fellowship by the Poetry Foundation, and his writing has been supported by fellowships from the James Merrill House and the MacDowell Colony. A UCC-Congregationalist minister, he has served churches in North Guilford, Connecticut, and Grinnell, Iowa. He lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area.
