Help Keep Flying Object Flying via Their Epic Raffle
Flying Object is a wonderful, community-oriented space. And they're about to turn three! This means it's time for their Epic Raffle, which will bring together a host of good folks, "with very special guest performances, readings, and fortune telling by CA Conrad, Dorothea Lasky, and Ben Hersey while raising capital to keep Flying Object aloft. And you don't even need to be there in person to be a part of the raffle!"

October 1st is our true anniversary but this year we’re going to celebrate on the 13th of October because we feel like it. It’s going to be a night of eating and drinking, raffling off a ton of exciting stuff, celebrating the hope at the heart of Flying Object, and being entertained by a few very special guest performances, readings, and fortune telling by CA Conrad, Dorothea Lasky, and Ben Hersey!
We’re also going to try and raise a little bit of capital. Because without it we wouldn’t be able to continue our work and keep our doors open—literally!—it costs a lot just to pay for the basics like utilities, office supplies, and a website. But with a little help from you we’ll be able to devote more of our time and resources to supporting this remarkable community with our workshops, exhibitions, performances, publications, and of course, little bookshop. Actually, you know what, we’d like to raise a lot of capital! Here’s how you can help with that:
Buy a ticket to the anniversary!
Whether you’re local and can attend in real life, or far away and only in spirit, you can buy a ticket. Here’s how:
$5.00 gets you admission + 6 raffle tickets
$10.00 gets you admission + 20 raffle tickets
$20.00 gets you admission + 40 raffle tickets
Anything over $20.00 will be considered a fully tax-deductible donation to Flying Object (i.e. $35.00 would equal admission for you, 40 raffle tickets, and a $15.00 tax-deductible donation)
Attendants-in-spirit will have their raffle tickets evenly distributed (as best as our volunteers can) amongst the various prizes. If you win and are out of town, we’ll ship you your prize. Please consider that shipping will cost significantly more than $5.00 for most of our prizes and the whole point of this thing is to help out Flying Object. That is to say—we hope you’d be willing to pay for shipping if you win!
