Poetry magazine was founded 110 years ago this month, and in celebration of this milestone, we’re offering our readers lots of special content and freebies. To start, take Poetry on the go with a free download of the October 2022 issue! You can find the free issue in the Poetry Magazine App, available through the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon.

The October 2022 issue is also available to read for free on our site. It features new poems by Victoria Chang, Martín Espada, Ruth Ellen Kocher, Yusef Komunyakaa, Edgar Kunz, Ladan Osman, Diane Seuss, and many others. We also have a special portfolio on the work of poet and publisher Caroline Marie Rodgers, with an introduction by Andrew Peart and an afterword by Nikky Finney. Last but not least, the issue features an essay by Ross Gay on time, hanging out, and the perennial quoting of Auden’s line “poetry makes nothing happen.”

When you download the app, you can also listen to recent episodes of the Poetry Magazine Podcast, save your favorite poems to a digital scrapbook, and much more.

There’s never been a better time to make poetry a regular part of your reading life. Subscribe today to get 11 issues a year.

Poetry print subscribers can access all the digital issues and the extras in the app for free as part of our print/digital bundle. If you prefer a digital-only subscription, you can purchase one here.

We’ll be keeping the 110th anniversary party going all year long! To keep celebrating with us, check out editor Adrian Matejka’s introduction to his first issue, sign up for our newsletter, and check out the new 110th collection on our website—new content will be added each month.
