Poet and artist Ava Kadishson Schieber gives a reading to celebrate the opening of here i am. Kadishson, who was born Jewish in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia in 1926 and survived the Shoah in hiding, is the author of the multi-genre collections Present Past (2016) and Soundless Roar (2002). here i am highlights her poems and illustrations and includes personal items that illuminate the evolution of her art alongside historical events. The evening will include a musical performance by cantor Andrea Rae Markowicz, and a reception.
