Join us for a reading with poet and scholar Philip Metres and poet and playwright Sarah Ruhl. Metres is the author of 10 books, including Shrapnel Maps, The Sound of Listening: Poetry as Refuge and Resistance, Pictures at an Exhibition, and Sand Opera. His honors include two Arab American Book Awards, an Adrienne Rich Award for Poetry, and fellowships from the Lannan Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is a professor of English and director of the Peace, Justice, and Human Rights program at John Carroll University.
