Join us for a special reading for teenagers with Young People’s Poet Laureate Naomi Shihab Nye. Nye is a Palestinian American writer who lives and works in San Antonio. An acclaimed author for both young readers and adults, Nye is the author of numerous collections of poetry. Her most recent publication is Everything Comes Next: New and Collected Poems. Her many awards include the Ivan Sandrof Award for Lifetime Achievement from the National Book Critics Circle, the Lavan Award, the Paterson Poetry Prize, the Isabella Gardner Poetry Award, the Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry award, and the Lon Tinkle Award for Lifetime Achievement, among others.
