All are welcome to to a poetry discussion and creative writing workshop, “All About Self Love,” created and led by Christiana Castillo.
In the workshop “All About Self Love,” participants will be invited to slow down and engage with critical self love and self care. Poetry is a powerful catalyst for care, and will be the mode for exploration in this workshop. Poets who engage in this workshop will create new works that serve their multiple identities as they continue to move through the world. We will meditate on the works of artivist ancestors bell hooks and Audre Lorde among contemporary poets and writers in this workshop.
