Forms & Features: Necropastoral Poetry
At Capacity
| 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
This generative poetry workshop led by Maggie Queeney explores work residing in the echoes between ecopoetics and necropastoral, a term poet Joyelle McSweeney describes as “an experience of ‘nature’ which is poisoned, mutated, aberrant, spectacular, full of ill effects and affects.” The group will explore a wide variety of necropastoral poems and conclude with a guided poetry-writing exercise.
- This workshop is for adult participants, aged 18 and older, of all backgrounds and experiences with reading and writing poetry.
- We offer several sessions.
