Workshops & Discussions

Forms & Features with Latif Askia Ba

- | 11:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Federico García Lorca wrote, “A poet must be a professor of the five senses,” but in our day-to-day activities, are we really in contact with our five senses, are we aware of our bodies moving through time and space, or are we often consumed by our thoughts?

In this generative workshop, we will train ourselves to let more of the universe into our poetry by listening deeply to our bodies. We will also be in conversation with the poetry and performances of Larry Eigner and Hannah Emmerson to study how disability and neurodiversity live on and off the page.

This workshop is for participants aged 18 and older, of all backgrounds and experiences with reading and writing poetry.
