Winner of the Caldecott Honor, a MacArthur genius fellowship, and many other awards, Czech-born author and illustrator Peter Sís introduces his new book inspired by 12th-century Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Attar’s epic The Conference of the Birds. Chicago actors highlight stanzas as the courageous birds journey toward protection and peace. A book signing follows.
