Ann Hamilton shares thoughts on language in her work, followed by conversation with Jessica Stockholder and Srikanth Reddy.

Ann Hamilton is an artist internationally recognized for the sensory surrounds of her large-scale multi-media installations. Using time as process and material, her methods of making serve as an invocation of place, of collective voice, of communities past and of labor present. Jessica Stockholder works at the intersection of painting with sculpture, sometimes incorporating architecture, blanketing the floor, scaling walls and ceiling, even spilling out of windows, through doors, and into the surrounding landscape. She orchestrates a merging of pictorial and physical experience, probing how meaning derives from physicality. Srikanth (Chicu) Reddy grew up in Chicago. He is the author of the collection of poems Facts for Visitors (2004) and Voyager (2011). Reddy employs a variety of forms, including syllabics, terza rima, and the prose poem; his poetry is collage-like in its variety and inclusiveness.
