Poetry off the Shelf: Chicago Public Library Poetry Fest: Sonia Sanchez

Celebrate National Poetry Month with internationally acclaimed poet, scholar, and activist Sonia Sanchez. Author of more than 20 books and a pioneer of the Black Arts Movement, Sanchez has received the Robert Frost Medal and the Langston Hughes Award, among many other literary laurels, as well as distinctions for her advocacy on behalf of peace, justice and women’s rights.
