Presented as part of a centennial initiative honoring the legacy of Gwendolyn Brooks, the first African American poet to receive the Pulitzer Prize, Our Miss Brooks 100 brings together five African American Pulitzer Prize winning poets—Rita Dove, Yusef Komunyakaa, Natasha Trethewey, Tracy K. Smith, and Gregory Pardlofor an evening of poetry and conversation.

This event is SOLD OUT. A standby line will be available at 5:30 if tickets become available. Admission to the Art Institute of Chicago is free for Illinois residents every Thursday, 5:00–8:00—including during this event.

Presented in collaboration with the Chicago Community Trust, the Art Institute of Chicago, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Guild Literary Complex, and Brooks Permissions, with the encouragement of the Pulitzer Prizes.
