Announcement of Changes to POETRY Magazine

Don Share, editor of Poetry magazine, has announced he is stepping aside, effective at summer’s end to ensure operations are uninterrupted as a search for his replacement begins.

“I hope that my departure makes space for others, and will lend support for important changes to come,” said Share.

The staff of Poetry and the Poetry Foundation are thankful to Share for his years as editor and how they have shaped the magazine. His departure is part of ongoing changes and conversations outlined in the Open Letter of Commitment.
