In celebration of National Poetry Month, we’re happy to offer you, dear readers, a free download of the April 2017 issue of Poetry magazine! Our newly redesigned app is now available through iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon. There is even a PDF available too.

The April 2017 issue features our signature mix of established and emerging poets from around the globe, with new poems by Kazim Ali, Doug Anderson, Rae Armantrout, Amy Beeder, Marianne Boruch, George Bowering, CAConrad, Sumita Chakraborty, Danielle Chapman, S.J. Fowler, Jessica Greenbaum, Maria Hummel, David Tomas Martinez, Momina Mela, Ange Mlinko, Sawnie Morris, Les Murray, Alison C. Rollins, Arthur Sze, and Jeffrey Yang. To cap it off, we have an essay by James Longenbach about “The Music of Poetry.”

In the digital edition you’ll also find a reading list from contributors to this issue, a guest blog post from Alison C. Rollins, and a playlist she curated for this issue. You can listen to this month’s Poetry magazine podcast, hosted by the editors, and see more work from our April 2017 cover artist, Victoria Martinez. Stay tuned for more digital extras in the coming weeks!

There is nothing like seeing the latest issue of Poetry in your mailbox or at your local bookstore, but we hope you’ll love seeing the magazine in this accessible digital format too. It allows you to read Poetry wherever you go, even offline, and it offers new ways of discovering, saving, and sharing the poems you love. If you have any comments or questions, please email us at [email protected].

Once you download the app, be sure to check back each month. Each issue will have select content available for free in the app and each individual issue will be available for purchase. Poetry subscribers can access the full digital issues and extras for free in the app every month as part of our print/digital bundle—just enter your email address when prompted to log in. Not a subscriber? Sign up now with our special National Poetry Month offer: only $20 for 11 issues ($32 for international subscribers).

Happy reading!
