Los Angeles Times Book Prizes for Patricia Smith & Jenny Zhang!

The Los Angeles Times Book Prizes were announced this weekend: Patricia Smith was awarded the prize for Poetry for her book, Incendiary Art (Triquarterly Press/Northwestern University Press, 2017)! 

Another poet and friend of Harriet, Jenny Zhang, won in First Fiction, for her debut collection of short stories, Sour Heart (Lenny, 2017).

The Book Prizes "are dedicated to honoring literary luminaries, championing new voices and celebrating the highest quality of writing from authors at all stages of their careers," writes the LA Times. Find all the winners there, and congratulations to Smith and Zhang!
