Donate or Apply to the PEN America Writers' Emergency Fund, Now Reopened

In this relentless time of coronavirus, PEN America has re-launched the Writers’ Emergency Fund, reports Corinne Segal for Lit Hub. The fund is a way for PEN, and anyone who can donate, to reach writers directly affected by loss and emergency. 

Applicants do not need to be members, but they “must be based in the United States, be a professional writer, and be able to demonstrate that a small, one-time grant will be meaningful in helping them to address an emergency situation.” Applicants should hear back within 10 days on whether they will receive a grant.
