The 2020 Griffin Poetry Prize International Shortlist Includes Etel Adnan, Sharon Olds, More

The Griffin Poetry Prize shortlist has been announced, and the international nominees include Natalie Scenters-Zapico's Lima :: LimónEtel Adnan's Time, translated by Sarah Riggs; and Sharon Olds's Arias. "Judges Paula Meehan (Ireland), Kei Miller (Jamaica/UK), and Hoa Nguyen (Canada) each read 572 books of poetry, from 14 countries, including 37 translations."

The full 2020 shortlist is here. Two winners, one Canadian and the other international, will be announced on Tuesday, May 19, with each granted $65,000.
