Kathryn Nuernberger

Born in St. Louis, poet Kathryn Nuernberger earned a BA at the University of Missouri, an MFA at Eastern Washington University, and a PhD at Ohio University.

In her poems, Nuernberger often weaves together intimate and archival narratives. She is the author of the poetry collections Rue (2020), James Laughlin Award–winner The End of Pink (2016) and Antivenom Prize–winner Rag & Bone (2011). Nuernberger has received fellowships from the American Antiquarian Society and the Bakken Museum. She has also served as director of Pleiades Press and editor of the literary journal Quarter After Eight and has taught at the University of Central Missouri and Ohio University. She teaches creative writing at the University of Minnesota.
