Hero-House

1.   Yellow paint on brush.
    Black body leaning in wind.
    Mustached man. Father.

2.  House yellow singing
  Perched on rough earth perfectly.
  The air clear poison.

3.   Man moves down ladder.
   Chest heaving, gasping for breath,
   Asthma fells hero.

4.  Party in sun house.
A sign of life on concrete.
  Welcome sung in songs.

5.   Brown Black painter paints.
   Yellow house becomes white house.
   Our dignity space.

6.  Eyesore on Front Street,
Calls from white house to White House
  Junk car gone same day.

7.   Garbage-piled alley.
   Hero wrestles garbageman.
   Hero in handcuffs.

8.  Hero piano.
  Song rises, knocks against air.
  He makes a way strong.

9.   He plants his eggplants.
Grows an impure fruit of heart.
   Withdraws in shadows.

10.    Builds Delta for us.
    Eleven tiny rooms wait.
    He comes back. White hair.

11.    Hero hard to breathe.
They move him. A bed of greens.
   Where he goes we love.

12.    Spirit-catcher house.
    Every good-bye ain't gone.
    Hero shut-eye sleeps.
