I like to think that when lovers say they’ll love forever

That really their love does last forever

And even when they’ve separated

And they sometimes hate each other

And they eventually forget one another

And they one day miss each other

They’ll want to go back but can’t

Find their love because it’s

Cryogenically frozen in a dedicated chamber of the heart forever held in ideal conditions just beyond us

Which is for the best if you think of all

We’ve destroyed

As a species
