2012 MFA Power Rankings Are In!

It's been a "Fifty Best" kind of week, so let's heap another list on the ol' brush pile, eh? This time, from Poets and Writers, we have the annual MFA program rankings where Iowa is #1, Michigan #2, Wisconsin #3 . . .Go Big Ten!! This should be an interesting bowl season, with the Badgers, Wolverines, and Hawkeyes all eying Pasedena . . . Oh, wait. That's a James Tate poem.

Anyways, from the website, a prefatory statement:

A combination of hard data from programs that release funding and admissions figures to the public and a vital survey of what the individuals comprising the next generation of U.S. poets and writers have to say about their own priorities in choosing a postgraduate program, here are the 2012 rankings of the nation's top fifty MFA programs.
