Introducing The Volta

Poets Joshua Marie Wilkinson and Sara Renee Marshall have launched poetry super-website, The Volta, with the help of a host of others. The website will be home to the following:

FRIDAY FEATURE, a weekly in-depth review of a recent poetry book, starting with a review of Christine Deavel's Woodnote by Sara Renee Marshall.

MEDIUM, a weekly video or poemfilm by a poet, starting with a new video of Rae Armantrout.

EVENING WILL COME, a monthly journal of poetics, with new pieces for January by Shane McCrae, Rusty Morrison, Boyer Rickel, & Elizabeth Robinson.

THEY WILL SEW THE BLUE SAIL, a monthly journal of poetry.

TREMOLO, featuring a single interview with a poet each month.

They will also host a NEWS page on their tumblr site, for poetry-related items of interest.
If you are interested in submitting, they are looking for book reviews, for poems, for video, for interviews, and for poetics pieces. Click on the Submit tab at the bottom of the home page for guidelines.

The site should not be confused with a Mars Volta fansite, official or unofficial, though we hope to see Volta newshound Oren Silverman opening for Soundgarden. Soon.
