Letter from Poetry Magazine
Letter to the Editor
BY Ginny Thompson
Dear Editor,
The question and answer format in the March issue is interesting and informative from both a writer's and reader's standpoint. I hadn't thought of the way an inverted simile can give a more precise meaning to a poem, as A.E. Stallings explains in one of her replies. Also, we readers get a poet's background, helping us to better understand her history, which adds richness to the reading of the poem.
I hope this layout will continue in your magazine. Thanks for a marvelous issue!
