Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I want to thank Poetry for the wonderfully witty cartoons in the "Summer Break" issue [July/August 2008]. The artist, Bruce McCall, must be a poet, for he knows full well the ins and outs of the poetry world. I brought the drawings to my poetry workshop (thank you for putting each on a page of its own, so I could use my scissors with impunity) and an otherwise quiet room came alive with shrieks of recognition, followed by raucous laughter.
