Letter from Poetry Magazine
Letter to the Editor
BY Vincent Francone
Dear Editor,
I enjoyed the “Antagonisms” very much. They were some of the liveliest bits of writing you have published in recent memory. Still, while I’m all for having my sacred cows butchered from time to time, I feel Mr. Cummings got it particularly bad, mostly by the dismissive hand of Michael Robbins, who writes, “Of course Thomas is a better poet than Cummings (who isn’t?).”
If Mr. Robbins wants an answer to that question, he need only look in the mirror.
