Sacrament III

Oh, forgive me, father, for I have sinned
against my gender. Call me traitor, traitor.
Pronoun evader—I’m mâché skinned
& making penance, cut my equator.

So, who do you apologize to now?
God in my jars of white glue & glitter.
I press popsicles to tongues; a pink vow
to always praise-worship my clitoris.

We do macaroni art on plates,
the gold plates where he cuts baby carrots.
Hummus hallelujah me! Holy waits
for no man, but I’m a green soap spirit!

In confession monsignor paints my nails,
this color suits you, typical for females.
