Tavi Gevinson

Tavi Gevinson is a writer, actress, and editor. She was born in Chicago and grew up in Oak Park, Illinois, where she founded the fashion blog Style Rookie at age 11; she later founded and was editor-in-chief of Rookie, an online magazine written for and by teens that ran from 2011 until 2018. A series of Rookie Yearbooks have been published by Penguin Random House, and Gevinson’s own writing has appeared in Elle, the Believer, Garage, and Poetry magazine, among other places. She has acted in theater, television, and films including, most recently, Enough Said (2019) and Person to Person (2019).
