Celebrate the legacies of poets David Hernandez and Salima Rivera with ECOS: A Chicago Latine Poetry Festival in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. Co-presented with the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture, Eduardo Arocho, and Batya Hernandez, this headlining event features performances of Rivera and Hernandez’s work by Arocho, Marta Collazo, Mayda del Valle, Batya and Matea Hernandez, Kayla González Huertas, Luis Tubens, and members of Hernandez’s former band, Street Sounds. Following the performance, learn more about Rivera and Hernandez during a panel discussion featuring family, former students, and friends.
