Luis Tubens (he/him), also known as “Logan Lu,” is a Chicago-born, Puerto Rican spoken-word artist and educator. He is the author of Stone Eagle (Bobbin Lace Press, 2017). In 2014 and 2018, he represented Chicago in the US National Poetry Slam. He toured the United States, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, was a featured poet at Spoken Word Istanbul in 2022, and performed at the Slam Colombia Festival Open Mic in 2024.

As an educator with the Chicago Poetry Center, he has held workshops for students in the Chicago Public Schools district, and for residents in jails. He was awarded the First Voice Award in 2022 from the Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture.

Tubens is an organizer of Slam Diáspora and the resident poet for ÉSSO, recognized by the Chicago Reader as the Best New Band and Best International/World Music Act.
