Maureen Mulhern
Maureen Mulhern has a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, and a MFA from the University of Iowa’s Writers Workshop. Born in the UK, where she spent her early years, Mulhern became a naturalized US citizen in 1990. Her first book of poetry, Parallax, was published by Wesleyan University Press. The following journals: Crab Orchard Review; Crazyhorse; Denver Quarterly; Electric Acorn; Icarus; Indiana Review; Poetry; Prairie Schooner; The Burning Bush; The Lancet; The Stinging Fly; and Verve have published her poems. She has recently finished a second collection of poetry. Maureen and her husband have one son, seven cats; and are the founders of an independent jazz record label, Juniper Records.
