Rudy Gutierrez

Rudy Gutierrez is an American artist, illustrator, and educator of Puerto Rican heritage whose award-winning work has been published worldwide. Among his awards are a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators, Dean Cornwell Recognition Hall of Fame Award, Caldecott Honor Award, Pura Belpré Award, and Africana Book Award for his children’s books. He teaches at Pratt Institute.
