William Olsen

William Olsen is the author of TechnoRage (Northwestern University Press, 2017), Sand Theory (Northwestern University Press, 2011), Avenue of Vanishing (Northwestern University Press, 2007), Trouble Lights (Northwestern University Press, 2002), Vision of a Storm Cloud (Northwestern University Press, 1996), and The Hand of God and a Few Bright Flowers (University of Illinois Press, 1988).

Olsen was coeditor with Jack Ridl of Poetry in Michigan / Michigan in Poetry (New Issues Poetry & Prose, 2013) and with Sharon Bryan of Planet on the Table: Poets on the Reading Life (Sarabande Books, 2003).

Olsen is a past recipient of a 92nd St Y Discovery Award, as well as fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation in 2005 and the National Endowment for the Arts in 1996. He has taught at Western Michigan University and Vermont College.
