Alexis V. Jackson is a Black woman writer and Philadelphia native. She earned her MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts in 2018. Erica Hunt selected her forthcoming debut collection, My Sisters’ Country (Kore Press, 2022), as the second-place winner of Kore Press Institute’s 2019 Poetry Prize.
