Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Amy E. Sklansky earned her BA from the University of Virginia. She is the author of the children’s books From the Doghouse: Poems to Chew On (2002), Skeleton Bones and Goblin Groans: Poems for Halloween (2004), My Daddy and Me (2010), and Knock Knock, Trick or Treat! (2021), among others. Her books have been nominated for a Beehive Book Award and a Washington Children’s Choice Picture Book Award. Sklansky lives in St. Louis and has worked as a children’s book editor.
