'Annah Sobelman

Born and raised in Los Angeles, poet 'Annah Sobelman was educated at the University of Southern California, Pepperdine Law School, New York University School of Law, and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her poetry collections included The Tulip Sacrament (1995) and In the Bee Latitudes (2012), which Publishers Weekly described as “risky and rife with grammatical intensity and simultaneously grounded in the experience of being a woman in the world—marked by a beauty of language and emotion.” She  taught at UCLA and served as editor for the Taos Review. She died in 2017.
