Brandon Menke is assistant professor of English at the University of Notre Dame. His research examines lyric form, queer aesthetics, and networks of intimacy in twentieth- and twenty-first century American literature and visual art. He received his PhD from Yale University and his MFA from New York University. His work appears or is forthcoming in bæst, Denver Quarterly, Yale Review, and elsewhere. With poet Jahan Khajavi he is at work on a manuscript that explores the deep cultural archive of homoerotic imagery in the American West and the violent erasure of the region’s Native peoples and ecologies. He lives with his partner in South Bend.
