Chad Bennett

Chad Bennett is the author of Your New Feeling Is the Artifact of a Bygone Era (Sarabande Books, 2020), winner of the 2018 Kathryn A. Morton Prize in Poetry, and Word of Mouth: Gossip and American Poetry (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2018), a study of modern poetry and the queer art of gossip. Born and raised in central Iowa, Bennett earned a BA from Stanford University, an MFA from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and a PhD from Cornell University. He is an associate professor of English at the University of Texas at Austin.
