C.R. Grimmer (also Chelsea Grimmer; she/her and they/them) is the author of The Lyme Letters, the recipient of the Walt McDonald First Book Award from Texas Tech University Press. They are also the author of O–(ezekiel's wife), a chapbook and audiobook collaboration from GASHER Journal and Press. The chapbook features visual artwork by Colleen Burner and the audio soundscapes with poetry readings composed and produced by Judith Twedt.
 
Also a scholar and instructor, Grimmer earned their PhD in Literature at the University of Washington, Seattle. They also earned their MFA in Creative Writing from Portland State University in 2013, MA in Literature from the same institution in 2014, and BA from Oakland University in 2011. They are recipient of a variety of fellowships, including a Vermont Studio Artist Support Fellowship, the Simpson Center for the Humanities' Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Public Humanities Fellowship, the Harlan Hahn Disability Studies Fellowship, and the Project for Interdisciplinary Pedagogies Fellowship. 
 
Grimmer created and hosts a variety of public-facing video and podcast projects, including The Poetry Vlog (TPV, YouTube) and the Literature, Language, Culture: A Dialogue Series for the University of Washington Department of English. TPV, in particular, is a YouTube channel and Podcast dedicated to building social justice coalitions through arts and scholarship dialogues. Their poems have appeared journals such as Poetry magazine, FENCE Magazine, [PANK], and Prairie Schooner, while their scholarship can be found in journals and essay collections such as The Comparatist.
