David McLoghlin is a poet, and a writer of memoir and personal essay. He is the author of Waiting for Saint Brendan and Other Poems (2012), Santiago Sketches (2017), and Crash Centre (2024), all published by Salmon Poetry. McLoghlin won the Open category of the 2018 Voices of War International Poetry Competition and was one of two poets chosen to represent Ireland on the Versopolis European poetry platform in 2023. Other accolades include a Katherine and Patrick Kavanagh Fellowship, a grant for memoir from Ireland’s Arts Council, and fellowships from NYU and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. McLoghlin teaches memoir for The Center for Fiction, Hudson Valley Writers Center, The Munster Literature Centre, and The Irish Writers Centre, as well as other organizations. He lives in Cork, Ireland.
