1950—2020

Don Domanski was a Canadian poet who published nine books of poetry during his lifetime, including Bite Down Little Whisper (Brick Books, 2013), All Our Wonder Unavenged (Brick Books, 2007), Parish of the Physic Moon (McClelland & Stewart,1998), Stations of the Left Hand (Coach House Press, 1994), and Wolf-Ladder (Coach House Press, 1991). His Selected Poems was published by Corbel Stone Press in April 2021, and a final posthumous collection, Fetishes of the Floating World, was published by Brick Books in October 2021. He received a Governor General’s Award, an Atlantic Poetry Prize, and a Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award. He served as the 2005 Ralph Gustafson Chair of Poetry at Malaspina University-College, now Vancouver Island University.
