Elisa Díaz Castelo
Elisa Díaz Castelo is the author of An Imperfect Geometry (2023), a bilingual collection featuring translations by Robin Myers; Principia (2022), winner of the Alonso Vidal National Poetry Prize; and El reino de lo no lineal (2020), winner of the Bellas Artes Poetry Prize. Castelo also translated Ocean Vuong’s Night Sky with Exit Wounds into Spanish, a translation for which she received the Bellas Artes Prize in Literary Translation. With the support of the Fulbright and Goldwater scholarships, she completed an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) at New York University (2013-2015). She also received the Fundación Para las Letras Mexicanas fellowship and two Jóvenes Creadores FONCA fellowships. She lives in Mexico City.
