Elisabeth Houston

Elisabeth Houston (she/they) earned a BA in history from Yale University and an MFA in poetry from Boston University. She is the author of Standard American English (Litmus Press, 2022). Houston works in text, video, and performance. Their performances have been staged throughout the US and internationally, including at Human Resources in Los Angeles; Montez Press Radio in New York City; El Grafo Grafo in Tijuana, Mexico; and Good Press in Glasgow, United Kingdom. She is a Cave Canem fellow. Their writing has been published in the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Offing, and The Offending Adam. She has taught at Boston University, the University of California Riverside, and Cal State Los Angeles.
