Francisco Márquez

Francisco Márquez is a poet from Maracaibo, Venezuela, who was born in Miami, Florida. His work has been featured in the Brooklyn Rail, Narrative, The Yale Review, The Slowdown podcast, and The Best American Poetry, among other publications. He has received fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Tin House Workshop, The Poetry Project, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Massachusetts, where he was a 2019–2020 poetry fellow. He holds an MFA from New York University, is assistant web editor at Poets & Writers, and is poetry editor at The Adroit Journal. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
