Jan Mordenski

Jan Mordenski was born in Detroit, Michigan. She is the author of Quiet Music: A Plainsong Reader (1995), and her poems have been published in Canada, Ireland, Scotland and Australia; her work has appeared in the US in journals such as Tar River Poetry, CapeRock, The MacGuffin, and Aethelon, among others. Her poem "Crochet" was featured by Ted Kooser in his “American Life in Poetry.” A teacher who has received several awards for teaching, Mordenski lives in Detroit.
