Jason Adam Sheets is a poet, scholar, educator, and the author of A Madness of Blue Obsidian (April Gloaming Publishing, 2022) and The Hour Wasp (April Gloaming Publishing, 2017). He is a coauthor of Theopoetica: An Anthology (April Gloaming Publishing, 2022).

Sheets’s work has been featured by the Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities and in The Graduate Journal of Harvard Divinity School. His work has also been published in Poetry, Sundog Lit, Apricity Press, Hermeneutic Chaos Literary Journal, and elsewhere. He earned a Master of Theological Studies in theopoetics from Harvard Divinity School, where his research focused on how theopoetic language works to shift one’s consciousness into spaces of spiritual or mystical experience.

Sheets teaches for the Poetry in America program in affiliation with the eponymous PBS television series, and has worked as a mentor in the Association of Writers and Writing Programs’ Writer to Writer mentorship program. His work has been supported by Harvard University, PEN America, and Poets & Writers Magazine
