Jennifer Maier
Jennifer Maier's most recent book of poems is Now, Now (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2013). Her first collection, Dark Alphabet (2006), won the Crab Orchard Review Series in Poetry First Book Award and was named one of the Ten Remarkable Books of 2006 by the Academy of American Poets. Her poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals, including Poetry, American Poet, Poetry Daily, and Christianity & Literature, and has been featured several times on Public Radio International's The Writer's Almanac hosted by Garrison Keillor.
Maier earned a BA and MA from the University of Washington and a PhD from Tulane University. She lives in Seattle, where she teaches at Seattle Pacific University.
