John Talbot

John Talbot is the author of the poetry collections The Well-Tempered Tantrum (2004) and Rough Translation (2012). His poems and translations have appeared in Poetry magazine and many other journals, as well as the anthologies The Greek Poets: Homer to the Present (2009), Joining Music with Reason: 34 Poets, British and American, Oxford 2004-2009, among others. His literary journalism appears in the Yale Review, the New Criterion, and the Weekly Standard. 

Talbot earned his PhD in Ancient Greek and Latin from Boston University. He is an associate professor at Brigham Young University, where he writes scholarship on classical and English literary relations.
